Tara Fitzpatrick

I'm a journalist and writer from Glasgow, Scotland. I'm currently working for STV News. I recently returned from living in Vinaròs, Spain, where I also taught English.

I previously worked as a national reporter at the Scottish Daily Record.

I love music, theatre, reading, movies and fashion. When I'm not stuck behind a screen, I love to go paddleboarding or get lost on a walk with my earphones.

I have over four years experience in print journalism and have worked for a range of local and national titles in Scotland. From 2017 - 2019 I reported for the Lennox Herald before moving to the Kilmarnock Standard where I reported until 2020.

I then began work as a live news and court reporter at the Daily Record.

I have experience recording, editing and hosting podcasts.

From 2017 - 2019 I appeared weekly on Your Radio to discuss weekly, local headlines.

I also trained in radio production while completing my Masters in Multimedia Journalism.

I have training in both traditional broadcast recording as well as mobile video journalism.

I edit video for social channels on STV News and, while at the Daily Record, I collected and edited video for online news stories and presented Facebook Live events.
